Millers Cottage has everything one could wish for from a holiday home plus a whole lot more and, sitting in the village of Luss with the fantastic Loch Lomond only a short walk away, could there be a more idyllic setting for a relaxing break?

At the very heart of the house is the generously sized sitting room that has a real air of elegance with its soothing décor and splashes of traditional Scottish charm. There is direct access out to the pretty garden from here so on sunny days the outdoors can be brought inside simply by swinging open the door.
Style and practicality combine perfectly in the spacious dining kitchen where a large central island provides extra preparation space and the dining table being right alongside allows the chat to keep flowing whilst the nominated cook whips up something tasty.
Off the bright and airy landing upstairs lie the three attractive bedrooms, two doubles and a twin as well as a beautifully presented, contemporary bathroom that is ideal for a soaking away any aches and pains from days out walking, climbing or hitting the shops. The appealing master suite offers a further touch of luxury with a romantic sleigh bed, dressing table, window seat and en suite shower room.
Behind the house the huge, communal lawn is shared with Millers’ sister properties Lade Cottage and Weir Cottage that sit alongside. Parking is certainly not a problem as there is room for up to 4 cars in the gravelled area right by the front door.
If a night off from cooking beckons then the cottage really couldn’t be better placed just a couple of minutes’ walk away from the Loch Lomond Arms bar and restaurant that is ideal to pop to for some traditional Scottish fare.
A walk down to the pier for an ice cream is always a good idea and on warm days it would almost be rude not to visit the sandy beach there. It is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the amazing view of Ben Lomond over on the other side of the water.
The pier is also known as a hub for boat trips that regularly head out on the loch including a waterbus that takes visitors over to the little island of Inchcailloch. Some magnificent scenery can be appreciated along the way and there is plenty of wildlife to spot including ospreys for a lucky few.
Stop at the beach on Inchcailloch for a picnic or a paddle in the sparkling waters before heading off to explore more of the island. Easy, signposted walking paths can be followed with the aptly named Summit Path leading up to the highest point for some fabulous views and great photo opportunities.
Luss is very well catered for with a well-stocked general store, gift shops for souvenirs and a choice of eateries. With so much to explore within the National Park, heading further afield should definitely be on the agenda. The shops and wildlife attractions in Balloch (9 miles) are certainly a draw or if the view of Ben Lomond becomes too enticing it is under an hour’s drive round to the base to climb it.
