The Pavilion offers a delightful resting stay in any of its well-decorated rooms, providing a comfy getaway for you and your loved ones. The hallway leads to a handy boot room with plenty of hanging and storage space for outdoor clothes. A convenient utility space with an external door and a well-appointed kitchen with French doors opens to the back east-facing garden/ patio area, which is equipped with plenty of outdoor seating for taking in the peaceful acoustics of the coastline. Guests are also provided with a barbecue, perfect for cooking up a hearty meal outside your beautiful home away from home.
The sitting room has a cosy wood-burning stove, a smart TV, and a dining table with hand-carved oak seating and a handmade oak bench. However, the highlight of the space is the large picture windows overlooking the sparkling sea loch.
The double bedrooms upstairs both feature comfy king-size beds and en suites. The east bedroom features a Juliet balcony over the back garden/ patio area and a modern en suite bathroom with the elegant addition of a steam room. As well as an en suite shower room, the second bedroom has a west-facing balcony with outdoor seating overlooking Loch Long, the perfect spot for watching the sunset with a drink of your choice.
You’ll never become tired of all the wonderful wildlife to spot in the loch, from whales, birds, dolphins, and even the occasional submarines. The aurora borealis are particularly spectacular from the cottage, as well as the breathtaking sunsets.
The property is located down the Taigh Na Uilt driveway; there is private parking for one car, and more spaces in the public car park across the road from The Pavilion.
Found close to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, adventure is easily found during your stay at The Pavilion. Whilst neighbouring Loch Long is magnificent to behold from the viewpoints at The Pavilion, it's even more exciting to explore the sea loch yourself.
There are opportunities for water sports, fishing and diving among the many wrecks found in the loch waters. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot the grey seals, porpoises, dolphins and sometimes pilot whales that grace the sea loch. The Wild Sauna is also available to book just down the road at the Cove Sailing Club (0.8 miles).
The amenities of the seaside town of Helensburgh are within reach (16 miles). History lovers will find the National Trust site, The Hill House, here, or try Helensburgh Golf Club (12 miles), which welcomes guests to play a round on their course. For adventure further afield, hire a bike from Helensburgh Cycles and begin the Glen Fruin Road loop.
The all-terrain loop from Helensburgh to Balloch is brilliant for unforgettable views across Loch Lomond. There are also excellent cycling loops at Ardgartan in the Argyll Forest Park, roughly 19 miles up the road. Climb The Cobbler aka Ben Arthur, a brilliant and shorter hill walk, less than 2 miles from Ardgartan and 20 miles from The Pavilion.
Get a taste of the local area at The Creggans Pub (2 miles), offering tasty pub grub and cold drinks to enjoy in good company. Cafe at Kilcreggan (2.3 miles) serves hot drinks, cakes and delicious treats. Knockderry Hotel also offers award-winning dining in its restaurant, championing their local Scottish produce and is only 0.7 miles down the road from The Pavilion.
The sandy shores of Luss beach on the banks of Loch Lomond are 21 miles away and excellent to spend time relaxing lochside. Benmore Botanic Garden is a little further away (49 miles) but features 120 acres of wonderful gardens, over 300 species of rhododendrons and 150-year-old giant redwoods.
The Trossachs have endless outdoor activities to stay busy, or if you’re looking for a day spent in the city, Glasgow can be reached in over an hour’s drive. Whichever it is, a stay at The Pavilion can be moulded to your holiday desires.
