Glen Lyon
Extending from the attractive village of Fortingall 25 miles west to the stunning freshwater Loch Lyon, Glen Lyon is known as one of Scotland's most beautiful glens as well as being the longest.
Following the meandering of the River Lyon as it passes through the small settlements of Invervar and Bridge of Balgie, the ancient valley is steeped in history. Home to a 5000-year-old yew, the magnificent Meggernie Castle, a circuit of four Munro Mountains and a fabulous selection of alpine flowers, the glen offers tranquillity, beauty and plenty of historic interest.
