Located down a long private driveway, the recently refurbished, semi-detached Mortimers Cottage looks out towards acres of fields and rolling borders hills. Upon entrance, all rooms lead off the bright welcoming hallway. There’s hanging space for outdoor coats and a tray for walking boots. On the wall a large Ordnance Survey map of the farmland and its surrounding landscapes is perfect for studying the environment and planning your adventures.
On the right-hand side lies the kitchen and dining area. Well-equipped with ample seating for 5. The kitchen features an electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, a combined air fryer/microwave, and the beautiful west-facing window means you can view the higher grounds and not miss the magnificent skies as the sun sets.
The lounge has a vast east-facing picture window to showcase the natural landscape, farmland and everchanging skies, making it the perfect cosy space to curl up on the sofa by the wood burner, complimented by the warmth of the biomass heating system.
The single bedroom, like the living space, is cosy and has east-facing windows showcasing wonderful scenery. Two of the bedrooms have super king-size beds, while the final is a cosy single. Two of the bedrooms are conveniently equipped with zip and link beds, easily accommodating your personal preferences. With peaceful countryside views and luxury bedding, including the locally made Lochcarron tartan throws, you’re guaranteed a restful night's sleep in any of the Mortimers cottage bedrooms. The bedrooms are serviced by a modern shower room with a walk-in shower, kept cosy by the underfloor heating.
Ample private parking can be found at the front of the cottage. An enclosed garden lies just outside the entrance door, a secure area for your dog. As Mortimers Cottage is located on a working livestock farm, it is requested that guests keep their dogs on leads at all other times. The outdoor seating in the enclosed garden is perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, cooking on the barbeque, or stargazing under the uninterrupted night’s sky. The owners live on site and are happy to answer queries.
