Eden Hideaway features contemporary design with Scandinavian influence, plenty of space, and fabulous floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the unforgettable views of the tranquil Borders countryside.
Upon entrance, you’re immediately welcomed by the wood-burning stove, which keeps the room cosy. The open-plan dining and living space features a dining table seating 4, and the well-equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare delicious meals. The comfy seating area with a reclining sofa is ideal for watching TV or gazing out to the brilliant vistas. Enjoy complimentary organic porridge made at the farm and processed in Kelso, with only 6 food miles in total.
Eden accommodates 4 guests in two comfortable bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with twin beds. Both bedrooms feature impressive floor-to-ceiling windows with doors opening directly outside, letting you enjoy the magnificent countryside views from your cosy hideaway or step outside and let in the fresh air.
The shower room has a gorgeous rain effect shower and is tiled with travertine, bringing a luxury spa feel. Luxury additions such as under-floor heating, heated towel rails and Eden Hideaway embroidered robes make you feel right at home.

The wood-fired hot tub can be heated for your arrival, where you can spend time relaxing among nature or cooking up a storm on the outdoor kitchen and dine al-fresco. Located on an organic farm, you’ll also find plenty of furry friends wandering the grounds, such as hares, birds, barn owls, deer and butterflies. Ample parking and an EV charger are found adjacent to Eden Hideaway.
There’s plenty to do on the site of Eden Hideaway itself; guests can book the paddle court on the farm through Border Padel Co (the first paddle facility in the Scottish Borders), which lies just 2 minutes from Eden Hideaway. Afterwards, take a well needed rest in the clubhouse, which has plenty of snacks and drinks to refuel you before or after your session.
Another special activity on the farm grounds is a pop-up flower patch, where during August and September guests can pick their own flowers, hidden in a peaceful spot with Hume Castle towering in the background. Take the walking route down to Eden Water over the wooden bridge onto the River Tweed and loop back along the treelined avenue. While down at the Tweed, try your hand at fishing, or a game of tennis on the nearby courts.
Venture into nearby Kelso (4 miles), where Floors Castle, a beautiful site with a castle, grounds and gardens to explore, then a delicious cafe to recharge in. Take the beloved Borders Abbey walk through Kelso, Melrose, Dryburgh and Jedburgh’s abbeys. The SCHLOSS Roxburghe (6.7 miles) is an elegant hotel/ spa and great for keen golfers. Be toured around the impressive Abbotsford House, the home of Sir Walter Scott (19 miles) in Melrose.
Explore the east coast and wander the sandy shores of Spittal Beach in Berwick-upon-Tweed (21 miles). 7stanes trails at Innerleithen (32 miles) or Glentress (35.5 miles), one of the leading mountain bike centres in Europe. E-bikes can be hired on site in Glentress or Melrose at Hardies Bikes (16.5 miles).
Scott’s of Kelso is a little French bistro and the perfect spot to head for a tasty lunch or to take home a treat from their butchers. For a taste of delicious Scottish cuisine, try The Cobbles Inn and sample their Cullen Skink or fish and chips from the nearby coastal village, Eyemouth.
