This traditional cottage has been lovingly refurbished to create a cosy, relaxing getaway. The light and airy living area is open plan with a neat multi-fuel stove with feature flue that keeps the whole place nice and warm. There is also charming window seat where you can sit and look out over the surrounding countryside and a door that opens out to the garden and seating area beyond, ideal for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. After dark, you can even enjoy stargazing under Galloway Dark Sky Park, taking in some of the clearest night skies in the UK.
The kitchen area is stylishly presented and well-equipped with a traditional Belfast sink and a dining table alongside that folds neatly away. The entrance porch provides a handy area for storing coats and boots and the pretty wood-panelled family bathroom with a bath and shower over is also on this level.
Upstairs are two beautifully presented bedrooms, a double room with a king-size bed and a twin room opposite, both of which have slightly coombed ceilings, useful built-in storage and gate latch doors.
Outside, parking is in the gravelled area to the rear with steps down to the door. There is a little seating area (with furniture) in front of the cottage from which you can admire the rolling hills round about. There is quite a drop down to the roadside over the boundary wall, so care should be taken with children.
