Tayvallich

The picturesque, fishing village of Tayvallich is situated on the shores of Loch Sween. It is a popular yachting haven with its spectacular scenery and vibrant community with a shop, inn, cafe and many local artists. There is a beach just across on the Atlantic side of the isthmus at Carsaig Bay and many forestry walks in and around the peninsula.

Taynish Nature Reserve is also worth a visit to observe the local wildlife. Lochgilphead, some 11 miles away, has many facilities including a leisure centre and a golf course.

It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped (we cooked dinner most nights), cosy, and comfortable, and has a lovely secure garden perfect for my dog. The location was perfect for exploring the lochs and mountains nearby, with fabulous low level and hillier walks right on the doorstep.
14-May-2024	The Hirsel BP9 (overall)	Be prepared to step into a world of isolated relaxation as soon as you turn into the estate. Beautiful, peaceful countryside with stunning views and local wildlife on your doorsteps. The cottage itself is excellent and supplied with everything you need for a break. The secure front garden was perfect for our dog to enjoy all day long. The area is fantastic with relatively easy walks to some local lochs through beautiful countryside. The only thing I can suggest would enhance the experience of the Hirsel would be a small garden table for resting a glass of wine on whilst soaking up the views. Will certainly return.
