South Persie House is a substantial, elegant house offering stylish accommodation and the added luxury of its very own swimming pool, near Bridge of Cally (2.5 miles) in Perthshire.

With both a large sitting room and cosy family room that both have wood-burning stoves to relax in, the house is great for holidays with friends or extended family with enough room for everyone to spread out into if need be.
The dining room has space for 10 people to dine in comfort and there is a more informal dining area in the kitchen where culinary enthusiasts will love cooking up a storm on the huge Aga. There is also a utility room housing the laundry facilities and a shower room on this level, as well as additional seating in the conservatory that is a lovely spot to sit and admire the garden.
Upstairs the bedrooms are all laid out with a master suite, two attractive double bedrooms and two twin rooms (with zip link beds, one en suite). There are also two separate, modern bathrooms on this level.
The charming master double bedroom is sure to impress as it is incredibly spacious with masses of storage, a super king size bed to stretch out on and a chic en suite bathroom with a free-standing roll top bath and a large, walk-in shower.
Outside there is ample parking and a path that leads right down to the swimming pool in the pool house. The heated pool is 35 feet long and 5 feet deep so children should be supervised at all times. With windows in the ceiling you can float on your back whilst admiring the stars - it really is quite idyllic.
Around the house the garden grounds extend to over 2 acres in total with lots of mature trees that provide privacy and a delightful patio seating area at the back of the house. A double garage provides plenty of secure storage for bikes and other equipment.
Gin lovers will enjoy visiting the Persie Distillery (1 mile) to learn all about the distillation process and have a tasting session.
For a night off from cooking the hotel restaurant in Bridge of Cally (2.5 miles) serves excellent meals. Fishing enthusiasts will want to pay a visit to the River Thoughtful book shop opposite that has a fine selection of rare and collectable fishing books or try salmon fishing for themselves on the wonderful River Tay from the beat on the Meikleour Estate (12 miles).
Blairgowrie (7.5 miles) has a range of interesting shops and eateries and a large supermarket to stock up at. Golfers have the choice of two 18 hole championship courses to play on at the Blairgowrie Golf Club, as well as the 9 hole ‘wee course’ that is said to be the best 9 hole course in Scotland.
Take to the water in a canoe, kayak or paddle board with Outdoor Explore (12.5 miles) and their experienced guides that lead tours of some of the delights of Perthshire from the water with wildlife to look out for along the way.
If a day’s skiing or snowboarding beckons then Glenshee (17 miles) is easily reachable in under half an hour’s drive (equipment hire available) and in the summer months there is a 3.2 km cross mountain bike track to try out.

Bed linen and towels are INCLUDED. Electricity is INCLUDED. Heating is by oil central heating (INCLUDED) and wood burning stove (starter pack and all logs INCLUDED). WiFi is INCLUDED, subject to a fair usage policy. Water is from a private source which is UV filtered and regularly tested; however (as is typical in many parts of Scotland) it can become discoloured, particularly after heavy rainfall. Guests may therefore prefer to bring bottled water to drink. A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome (2 large, 2 medium or 2 small). If you wish to bring any other pets please contact us and we will see what we can do. No smoking. No diving is allowed in the swimming pool and no glass should be brought into the pool house.
