Peebleshire
Peebleshire is a delightful county in the central Scottish Borders, stretching from near Biggar in the east and near Moffat in the south, into the Pentland Hills in the north and abutting Selkirkshire in the east. In the north, West Linton is a pretty conservation village, handily placed for Edinburgh, while still being very rural and surrounded by moorland excellent for walking.
Peeblesshire Self Catering Cottages
A Beautiful Area to Explore
Peebles, the county town, is beautifully situated on the banks of the Tweed and is quite charming, with excellent shops and eating places. Just outside the town are dramatic Neidpath Castle and Traquair House, the oldest continually occupied house in Scotland. The Southern Upland Way runs past it and just outside Peebles are the highly regarded Glentress Mountain Biking trails and a major downhill trail at Innerleithen.

Great service and easy to book as well as access to the property when we arrived. I am not certain why a significant deposit needed to be drawn on my credit card but perhaps not all visitors are as careful with someone else's property. The property itself had everything we could wish for along with the amazing view promised across the loch.

Excellent communication in relation to bookings and customer queries. Always send detailed and accurate information regarding the property, travel directions etc and timely reminders to ensure everything runs smoothly. We have stayed in 4 different properties from the Unique portfolio and cannot fault any of the accommodations they offer.

Unique is the best site for West Tweed because everything was unique. Unlike other places we have stayed we have never had such attentive care from the home made welcome gifts to the lovely visits from William and Frankie who dropped by to see if we were enjoying our stay and if there was anything we needed. Our spaniel Goose loved his special visit from Orca and Winnie. The cottage was perfect, we have stayed in dozens of cottages and West Tweed was our favourite.

Well appointed cottage in superb location. Unfortunately the area was hit by Storm Amy which knocked out power, which meant that we had no electricity, and as a result, also no running water. As we had to leave a day early( saturday rather than sunday) we should be obliged if you could kindly compensate us for the lost day of our holiday.
