Upon entering the bright and spacious hallway you immediately get a sense of the style and space to expect from the house. Cosy evenings in are sure to be spent in front of the sitting room’s wood-burning stove where French doors open out onto a wonderful patio seating area from which the very best loch views can be admired.
The attractive kitchen is the hub of the house has plenty of worktop space and a huge range cooker that is an absolute joy to cook on. French doors by the dining area open up to let the sunshine in whilst enjoying convivial meals together. Also on this level are two double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms and plenty of in-built storage, one of which looks out at the loch.
Off the landing upstairs are two further bedrooms, a double bedroom with an en suite shower room and a very spacious master suite with a super king-size bed to stretch out on. If the bedroom’s dimensions are surprising then the huge en suite bathroom is sure to impress with its choice of a lovely free-standing claw footed bath or large walk-in shower.
Alongside the house is plenty of parking space with steps up to the front door and a gently sloping path that leads round to the rear access. The garden is open to surrounding estate land and wonderful expansive loch views captivate you every time you venture outside.
Ardsheal Estate is home to an abundance of wildlife with otters, seals and dolphins, as well as a variety of birdlife including oyster catchers and herons. Some lucky visitors have even managed to spot golden eagles soaring above them.
Guests can walk around the pretty estate, try canoeing/kayaking or go fishing on the loch (no permit required).
Hill walkers will be in their element as there are several corbetts to tackle and munros to ‘bag’ nearby. Ardsheal Hill just behind the house is a fairly easy climb that is rewarded by a wonderful panorama of Loch Linnhe and the peak of Ben Nevis’ even visible off in the distance.
If a break from cooking beckons there is a hotel/restaurant serving excellent bar meals in walking distance at Kentallen Bay (1.5 miles). Supermarket supplies can be picked up in Ballachulish (7.5 miles) where cycle hire is also available.
The Glencoe Mountain resort attracts snow sport enthusiasts in winter and mountain bikers in summer months. Golfers will enjoy a round at the 9-hole Dragon’s Tooth Golf Course (4.5 miles), a particularly picturesque and challenging course set in gorgeous parkland.

cottage was one of the best we have ever stayed in

Absolutely stunning cottage, so roomy and bright, spotlessly clean and comfortable.

As a purpose built holiday house and only two yrs old , it was of a high standard and provided well for holidays.
