Aberdeenshire & Morayshire
This area stretches north and west from the ‘granite city’ of Aberdeen, up along the north sea coast, with its long stretches of sandy beach, to Fraserburgh, or ‘The Broch’ as it is locally known. You then turn the corner to find a string of charming fishing villages such as Pennan, Crovie, Cullen and Gardenstown and more superb beaches. Inland from Aberdeen there is a hugely scenic drive along the river Dee into the heart of Royal Deeside.

17-Jan-2025 | Cuil Bay Cottage AK1 (overall) | Beautiful location and amazing cottage. Lynne the caretaker went above and beyond to help
17-Jan-2025 | West Tweed at Old Melrose GT3 (overall) | Cottage was as advertised and booking was easy.. We book several cottages each year but this is the only agency we use that retains a cleaning deposit which is why 4 rather than 5 stars. Being at the mercy of someone else's evaluation isn't ideal and leaves you wondering about the overall cost, similar with their cottages that require meter readings for oil and electricity.
17-Jan-2025 | The Old Post Office EG5 (overall) | Very good communication and transparency made for a great experience, will be using the service again.
17-Jan-2025 | East Shore Cottage BK2 (overall) | Booked at last minute and phone calls kept us updated.
17-Jan-2025 | Inverallt House CD7 (overall) | The service provided by Unique Cottages was great. There was limited interaction, just booking, pay, go. The description of the cottage we rented was accurate and detailed. The location was absolutely stunning. One we would all happily experience again. The owners were delightful and helpful. Also very informative, knowing the area intimately.
17-Jan-2025 | Ghillie's Cabin HF3 (overall) | We had a lovely few days staying at Ghillie's Cabin. The hosts were lovely and also let us know when the northern lights were on show during our stay. They also informed us of when the Corran ferry would not be running due to bank holidays around the New Year.
15-Jan-2025 | Balnald Farmhouse EL4 (overall) | I would recommend them.
15-Jan-2025 | Blackloch Cottage BL1 (overall) | The service was good. No issues with booking and paying. All very straightforward. |
